Local artists hold exhibition to support research into dementia, mental illness, and cancer

Two local artists, Emma Morrissey and David Vane are holding an exhibition to raise awareness and sell their art in aid of charities supporting three of the most common illnesses in the UK today dementia, mental illness, and cancer.

Emma Morrissey is a local graduate from Southampton University and who has Emma Morrisseypersonally suffered from panic attacks and anxiety. But she has used her experience and her art to help others.

Her new collection of paintings explore some of the feelings and emotions that she has experienced and she will be talking about how she has used her art to overcome anxiety and stress.

The exhibition will be held over two days,  and it has been extended for the MacMillan coffee morning on 29th September

Exhibition Date: Thursday 28th  September     Time: 10am  – 6 pm

Friday 29th September   Time: 10am  – 12 am

FREE admission on both days.

(A percentage of sales of paintings, prints and cards will go to the respective charities. Everyone welcome)
